Our Mission is to provide New York City with a large, state-of-the art, affordable, no-kill Adoption Program for stray, abandoned and injured dogs, cats and birds. It is obvious to us that such a facility cannot be considered "state-of-the-art" if it cannot provide good veterinary support and treatment, good screening techniques of prospective adopters, and a good post-adoption support system in the areas of behavior and training. We feel we have the master blueprint to include all of the above under one roof, and that blueprint is called New York Pet-I-Care, Inc. Adoption Program.

An obvious plus in establishing a well run adoption program is the ability to have the vision to foresee and fulfill the needs within one’s own community. One such need that is always in demand, but too often lacking is providing whole blood and its various components: packed red blood cells, plasma, platelets, and cryoprecipitate for various factor deficiencies.

Additionally, the positive spin of providing blood for various life threatening medical conditions and surgical situations is matched only by the overwhelming positive community support and feedback we have constantly received from owners whose adopted animals have made "the difference" by donating blood to save another animal's life.

Wally was tied to a fire hydrant by a Supermarket, on a deserted side street on a small chain. We spotted him when we were going shopping. He looked like he had been there for a while. When we drove up to him, so did the police... Seems someone finally called and they were there to take him to animal control....I convinced them otherwise, and he got in our car, all matted and not cared for, about 10 months old. Straight to the bathtub he went, and into our hearts.”
